Community Guidelines

Be yourself. Don't impersonate people, brands, or organizations, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation. Don't create accounts to evade enforcement, and don't use fake engagement, bots, or other forms of platform manipulation to artificially amplify content.

We remove and may report content that threatens safety. Do not:

• threaten, incite, glorify, or promote violence or serious physical harm;
• promote or coordinate terrorism, organized crime, or other dangerous organizations;
• encourage or promote suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders; or
• endanger minors in any way, including any form of child sexual exploitation.

We report credible threats of harm and child-safety violations to the authorities where required.

If you meet somebody here. Andromeda can introduce you to another member and help you arrange to meet at a public event. When you do:

• meet in public, tell somebody where you are going, and leave whenever you want to — you never owe anyone an explanation for going home;
• do not photograph, record, or publish another member without their agreement, and stop the moment they say no;
• do not use what you learn from meeting somebody to find, follow, or contact them elsewhere against their wishes; and
• do not ask another member for money, or use a meeting to sell or recruit.

Reporting somebody ends the pairing at once. We do not run background checks on members — our safety policy says what we do and do not check, and what to do if something goes wrong.

Healthy debate is welcome; targeted abuse is not. Don't engage in harassment, bullying, or hateful conduct—including attacks based on race, ethnicity, national origin, caste, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or serious disease. Don't encourage others to harass someone.

Some content must be limited or labeled. Do not post sexually explicit content involving minors (never permitted) or non-consensual intimate imagery. Graphic, violent, or adult content may be restricted, age-gated, or require a sensitive-content label so others can choose what they see.

Don't share other people's private or personally identifying information (such as home address, government IDs, or financial details) without consent, and don't threaten to do so. Don't post intimate images of someone without their consent.

Other people are not scenery. Pointing a camera at someone does not make them yours to publish. Before you post a person who did not agree to be posted — a stranger in the background, someone at a table, a neighbour — ask whether they would recognise themselves and mind. If you are asked to take something down, take it down. The Lens is a tool for looking at the world, not at people.

Never use the Service to establish where somebody is. Don't work out or publish another member's home, workplace, school, or routine from what they have shared; don't combine posts, photographs, readings, or map views to place a person; and don't ask others to help you do it. This holds even when every individual piece was public, and it holds especially if you believe you have a good reason. Sharing your OWN location is yours to choose — deciding somebody else's is not.

Only post content you have the right to share. Respect copyrights and trademarks. See our Copyright & DMCA Policy and Trademark Policy.

Don't post spam, scams, malware, or deceptive links, and don't engage in phishing or fraud. Don't artificially inflate or manipulate engagement, and don't abuse our APIs or attempt to scrape the Service outside permitted limits.

Don't use the Service to facilitate illegal activity or to buy, sell, or coordinate the trade of regulated or prohibited goods and services, including illegal drugs, weapons, and counterfeit items.

Don't share synthetic or manipulated media — including AI-generated or altered images, audio, or video (“deepfakes”) — that is deceptively presented as authentic and is likely to deceive or cause harm, particularly about real people or events. Don't use AI tools to impersonate a real person's voice, likeness, or identity without authorization, or to create non-consensual intimate imagery. When you post AI-generated or significantly AI-altered media that could otherwise mislead, label it clearly; some features (such as Lyra's AI-involvement disclosure) help you do this. Don't post content designed to deceive people about civic processes or to suppress participation.

When content or conduct violates these Guidelines, we may take a range of actions proportionate to the severity and context, including: removing content; applying labels or age restrictions; reducing the distribution or discoverability of content; limiting certain features; requiring removal as a condition of continued access; and suspending or permanently disabling accounts. Repeat or severe violations may lead to permanent removal. Where appropriate and permitted, we provide notice and an opportunity to appeal.

If you see something that may violate these Guidelines, please report it using the in-product reporting tools, or use blocking, muting, restricting, and muted words to manage your experience. Reports are reviewed confidentially.
