🛡️ How we keep you safe
Andromeda is built privacy-first. Here's what protects your account and your data — in plain language, and every item is something we've actually built, not a promise for later.
Encrypted connection
Every page and request is served over HTTPS with strict transport security, so what you send and read can't be read or tampered with in transit.
Two-factor sign-in & passkeys
Add a second step to your login with an authenticator app, or sign in passwordlessly with a passkey (Face ID / Touch ID / a security key). A stolen password alone isn't enough to get in.
Breach-checked passwords
When you set a password we check it against known data-breach lists, so you can't unknowingly reuse a password that's already been exposed elsewhere.
Encrypted at rest
Sensitive data — your two-factor secrets, email, and phone number — is encrypted in our database, not stored in plain text.
Login protection
Repeated failed logins are rate-limited and locked out, and you can be emailed the moment a new device signs in or a security setting changes — with a plain-language read on how worried to be.
You control your audience
Go private and approve every follower, limit who can message or tag you, and block, mute, or restrict anyone. A one-tap Lockdown mode tightens everything when you're under pressure.
Active safety systems
Moderators review reports, and behind the scenes we watch for pile-ons, doxxing, and stalking — raising your defenses automatically and pointing you to help when something crosses the line.
We don't sell your data
Andromeda isn't an ad-targeting business. We don't sell your personal information, and our analytics are aggregate and privacy-preserving — not per-user profiling.
Your data, your call
Export a full copy of your data whenever you want, and delete your account — and its content — for good if you choose to leave.
Manage your own security
Turn on two-factor auth, register a passkey, review active sessions, and set login alerts in Settings → Security. Tune who can reach you in Settings → Privacy, and see everything protecting you at your Safety Center.
